We are thrilled to announce Richard Lansing is being recognized this year at our Shabbat service on Friday, June 6 at 6:45 pm for his years of dedication to Temple Brotherhood, along with CEEBJ and the greater community. Below is Richard’s personal statement reflecting his volunteerism over many years. Be sure to join us at this Shabbat service to honor Richard Lansing.
“I am truly honored and humbled to receive the Philip Zuckerman Volunteer Award. It is a privilege to be acknowledged among so many dedicated individuals who give their time and energy to serve others. Volunteering has always been deeply rewarding for me, and this award is a reminder of the power of community, compassion, and collective effort. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside incredible people throughout the years here at CEEBJ, whose passion and commitment inspire me every day. Together, we’ve shared challenges, victories, and countless moments of growth. This recognition is not mine alone—it belongs to everyone who has supported me, guided me, and collaborated with me. We’ve made a difference in our synagogue, in our community, in our state, and around the globe. Our communal belief in giving of our time, energy, and talents makes all the difference. I’m grateful to be part of something greater than myself and remain committed to continuing this work with heart, integrity, and hope for the future.”
