18th Annual “Name the Costume” for Purim

The Eighteenth Annual “Name the Costume for the Rabbis’ Purim Appearance” Contest

Yes! Boys and girls and ladies and gentlemen— this is your opportunity to dress the Rabbis as you have always wanted to dress the Rabbis! Name the Rabbis’ costumes for Purim 5777/2017 and the Rabbis will appear on the pulpit on Purim exactly as you imagined. Just fill in the entry blank below and return it to either to Toni in the Clergy Office or to the Lifelong Learning Office by Sunday, February 26. Employees of Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun are not eligible to enter (just joking).

All winners will receive recognition on Purim, Sunday, March 12, at our Purim festivities and in April’s Ha-Kol. In addition, all winners will receive free lunches through the auspices of our Brotherhood at the Purim Carnival. The Grand Prize and 2nd Place winners will also receive $5.00 worth of free tickets at the Purim Carnival. Finally, the Grand Prize winner(s), in addition to all of these gifts, will be the official assistant( s) to the turning on and off of the stoplight during the Megillah reading.

Use the official entry blank below or submit your entry, using the format shown below, on any 8-1/2” x 11 sheet of paper. You may also e-mail your entries to [email protected] Judging for this contest will be handled by an “impartial” panel of two—Rabbis Berkson and Schaller.
