Reflections on a Visit to Israel with Moshe Katz

Please join us this Thursday, when CEEBJ congregant Moshe Katz will share reflections and pictures from his recent trip to Israel. There is no cost to attend -- please register below or by calling the office at 414-228-7545.

Moshe Katz is the owner of Atid Properties, a real estate investment and management company and Yellow Wood, a premier outdoor gear boutique. He is the immediate past chair and past campaign chair of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, and past chair of the Harry and Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center. Moshe currently serves on the board of The Holocaust Education and Resource Center and the newly formed Opportunity Center. Moshe just completed three year terms on the boards of the Milwaukee Parks Foundation and America’s Black Holocaust Museum. He was the Interim Principal of Jewish Education from 2011-2012 and was a teacher at the Milwaukee Jewish Day School for 21 years.

 

Moshe has taught adult education classes and has been an independent speaker for many years. He is a past Cluster Chair for Milwaukee, St. Paul, Madison and Tulsa of Partnership 2Gether of the Jewish Agency for Israel, and served on the board of the Milwaukee Jewish Free Loan Association. He is a past President of Milwaukee Jewish Council for Community Relations and a past General and Campaign Chair of State of Israel Bonds, Wisconsin and past Chair of the Coalition for Jewish Learning. He has served nationally on both the boards of Jewish Educational Service of North America and Coalition for Advancement in Jewish Education. His past board service includes Independence First and Creative Sharp.

Moshe served with distinction in the Israel Defense Forces and received his Master’s Degree in Jewish Studies from the Cleveland College of Jewish Studies (Case Western Reserve University) and an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Education from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Moshe has received recognition from the Jewish Community Center, Milwaukee Jewish Federation and the State of Israel Bonds. He is fluent in Hebrew and keeps a second residence in Tel-Aviv. Moshe, a tri-athlete, enjoyed olympic, half and full ironman distances. Moshe is an avid hiker including international treks to Base Camp Everest, Machu Picchu, Kilimanjaro, Mont Blanc as well as numerous hikes in Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and of course Wisconsin. Plans include a trek to Patagonia in 2024! Moshe and his wife Debra are loving and proud parents of Cydny, 29 and Gabe 27.
