The Brotherhood prides itself on providing great programming for CEEBJ, as well as working hard to volunteer and fundraise for the benefit of the congregation. We are so proud of the fact that we were able to underwrite the cost of the upgraded security, now in place. I want to thank all of our volunteers and supporters of our fundraising activities. As you can see, it’s another benefit for the congregation, thanks to the fruits of your labor.
Every couple of months, the Brotherhood helps coordinate a volunteer- led service for the residents of Chai Point and the Jewish Home. We are always looking for service participants, men and women, to help lead this service, the majority of the parts of the service are in English. If you would like to learn more, or participate in the service, please reach out to Neil Hootkin, who coordinates this for the Brotherhood and CEEBJ.
Do you have a student who is desperately looking for volunteer hours? The Brotherhood is always putting on events and always looking for volunteers. Whether helping set up, break down or check in, we would welcome your student’s help… and it qualifies for their volunteering hours. Please reach out to me, if you have any questions.
Finally, the Parent/Child Shabbat Service will be on Friday night, June 16. We are looking for both adults and children to participate. We have speaking parts both in English and in Hebrew. This is a wonderful evening and a great service to be a part of. If you and your family would like to participate, please reach out to Allen Lavine and he will get you added to the service.
As always, we look forward to seeing you at our monthly Brotherhood meeting, the first Thursday of the month at 6 pm, for dinner and good discussion. Remember, this is open to all members of the Brotherhood or those who are interested in learning more about the Brotherhood.
