From Our President
As the Brotherhood’s fiscal year comes to a close, I am able to look back over the last year, and think of how many new faces I have seen at our monthly meetings. I am excited to get a new perspective on current programs, as well as wonderful ideas for future programming. You do not need to be at every meeting, chair a committee or even speak up at the meeting (but that’s where the good ideas come from). We would be happy just to have you there. As our membership continues to grow, we welcome and invite you to stop by or reach out to me or another member of the Brotherhood and let’s talk. As I have said before, I want to know what you are passionate about and would like to hear from you.
We saw many of you at the Teacher Appreciation Pancake Breakfast. This event is put on by the Brotherhood, Women of Emanu El and Yahad to help our families show our appreciation for our teachers and madrichim. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped prepare, flip and serve the pancakes and other breakfast treats.
Finally, don’t forget to stop by Buffalo Wild Wings, in Bayshore, for some good food and help support the Brotherhood. We are part of their ongoing fundraiser called Home Team Advantage. The Brotherhood is “Team A”, and we get 10% of your bill, whether it is dine in or carry out. All you need to do is mention to your server that you are there for “Team A”, and we get the financial support. Also, tell your friends, because you don’t have to be a member of CEEBJ to give us credit and support.
As always, we look forward to seeing you at our monthly Brotherhood meeting the first Thursday of the month at 6 pm for dinner and good discussion. Remember, this is open to all members of the Brotherhood or those who are interested in learning more about the Brotherhood.
