From Brotherhood President Garrett Butenhoff – July1, 2017 from Ha-Kol

From Our President

As I completed my first year as Brotherhood President, it gave me an opportunity to pause and reflect on what a busy year it was. I cannot say thank you enough to all of our Brotherhood members, Officers, Directors and President’s Council members, for their time, effort, counsel and ideas. I would also like to thank the other members of CEEBJ, as well as the entire CEEBJ Staff, for all of their support and help. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and my CEEBJ “village” has helped raise me, and I appreciate it.

That being said, it is on to year two and what a busy summer it will be: Family Mini Golf Outing, Parent Child Shabbat, Neil Diamond Supper Club Event (no, not the real Neil Diamond, but I hear he is outstanding!). We then roll into the fall with the Sukkahmobile, Deli Dinner, Lox Box and Packers Tailgate Party before we hit Thanksgiving. We even have a couple of new surprises for 2018. These are just some of the public events that the Brotherhood is involved in, and many more activities, fund raisers and congregational events that the Brotherhood helps out with. We are always looking for an additional hand; whether lending yourself to a committee, or rolling up your sleeves, we welcome you and need your help.

Finally, I wanted to thank our current Officers and Directors for accepting another year on their term, as well as welcoming some new faces. Andrew Franklin and Lorry Stein will be joining our Board of Directors, Dick Selby will be joining our Officers, as our Vice President, and congratulations to Dan Wilkinson for accepting the position of President-Elect. With this group, we know our future is in good hands. Our meetings will continue to be lively. As always, we look forward to seeing you at our monthly Brotherhood meeting, the first Thursday of the month at 6pm, for dinner and good discussion.

Remember, this is open to all members of the Brotherhood or those who are interested in learning more about the Brotherhood.
