2025 AFS Shabbat

AFS Shabbat 2025

Please join us for the Women of Emanu-El's 64th Annual AFS Shabbat!

Every year we welcome Milwaukee-area high school exchange students from around the globe for a Shabbat dinner, service, and oneg.

Join us in this meaningful cultural exchange on Friday, April 25, 2025 by:

  • hosting an AFS student and their guest for a casual Shabbat dinner in your own home
  • joining an AFS student for a casual Shabbat dinner at another CEEBJ family's home
    (note, we are not having a dinner at CEEBJ this year)
  • making a monetary donation to support the evening

The special AFS Shabbat service at 7:30pm will feature an engaging question and answer session with the Rabbi.

The Women of Emanu-El sponsored oneg will include sweet treats, fruits, and beverages.

Complete the registration form below or call the synagogue office at (414) 228-7545 by Friday, March 28th to participate!

Also, please let us know if you would like a Shabbat Box (containing a Challah, Grape Juice, Candles, and Prayers) delivered to your home on April 24th.

Tell us if you would like to have dinner at a home hosting an AFS student from a specific country and we will attempt to make a match.
